maxi cosi axiss review - why This is Best car seat for your Baby or child

maxi cosi axiss review

My wife is a CPST (Child Passenger Safety Technician) and has had the opportunity to install and use many different car seats. The Maxi Cosi Pria 85 has been one of her favorites for our youngest kids (2.5 yrs & 7 months). They both fit very well rear facing in it with no complaints. Here are a few pros and cons:

Pros:

* Fits a wide array of child sizes- Fits children rear facing from 14-40lbs and up to 40", forward facing 20-85 lbs and up to 57"
* No rethread harness - This feature has been great because we switch our 2 little ones between seats often. The harness height can be changed easily (rear facing needs to be below shoulders) with the squeeze the headrest to raise or lower it.
* Head wings - with children that sleep quite frequently this is a nice feature so their heads aren't slumping over while they sleep.
* 3 recline positions to fit different seat slopes
* Push on lower anchor connectors - these are a life saver if you have lower anchors in your vehicle that are buried in the seat bight.
* Harness storage clips - We personally don't use these much due to just adding one extra step to getting them in and out, but we've heard many parents love these so you don't have to dig the harness and buckles from under your child when putting them in the seat.
* Soft, cushy cover

Cons:

* Overinflated upper weight limit - There is no way an 85 lb child could fit in this convertible. A better estimate would be closer to 65 lbs, at the most. The harness is much too short to fit around a larger child and with the highest harness height of 17" very few kids will be able to make it to even 65 lbs. It's also a pretty narrow seat so fitting broader shoulders in could be an issue.
* Not newborn appropriate - Maxi Cosi has discussed possibly adding a Tiny Fit insert like they have in their Pria 70 or more padding so they can lower the weight minimum on this seat, but as it stands, most children won't be able to fit this seat until closer to 4-6 months.
* Finicky harness tightening - it can sometimes be hard to tighten the harness, but not all the time.
* Sticky headrest adjustment - You really have to work to get the headrest at the upper and lower most positions. You can push up or down on the back of the seat to adjust it a bit easier, if it's rear facing.

Overall, my wife and I have been impressed with the Pria 85. It's a nice cushy seat with many advantages that I like. It's easy to install, easy to use, and both our children have been comfortable in it so far.checkout occial site for more learn click here

Onkyo Home Theatre in a Box…Out of the Box

Right away, I can tell this is going to be good. I expected an all-in-one to be flimsier. The Onkyp HTIB is solid. It feels like it means business. In the 80lb box, you’ll find the A/V receiver, five speakers, a powered subwoofer, coloured speaker cables and a remote.
The subwoofer is huge! And I totally mean that exclamation point. I’d put two if it wasn’t overkill. But, seriously. It’s huge! And as with the five speakers, the cabinet is made of some sort of pressed wood. The finish is really nice, and they feel really solid. I somehow expected plastic speakers. My own home theatre audio system is made up of five little plastic speakers and a subwoofer (old remnant of a HTIB I’ve yet to upgrade), so the Onkyo speakers felt very luxurious to me. The speakers and subwoofer are also covered by a nice black mesh in the front. I’m totally experiencing speaker envy.
The receiver is polished black, with a nice fluorescent display that is easy on the eyes. It features eight HDMI inputs, so you can hook up all your game consoles, Apple and Android TVs, BlueRay player, and everything else with ease. I also like that there’s also a front input on the receiver, offering easy access for when friends come over and want to hook up their own systems or media. The included remote is pretty standard. I might even call it too simple. But, overall I’d say out of the box the Onkyo HTIB looks really classy, yet understated at the same time.
